In this episode of Skills and Technology, Joe Scacciaferro receives the talented musician Joss Bess and he explains his music production method which It’s all focused on breaking down and teaching the core elements of music production. These elements are found in any western song the first one is songwriting arrangement, which could be music composition, music arrangement, song form, lyric writing, midi composition, midi effects, rhythm, melody, processing. The Second one is sound design and recording it’s making it sound a specific way, you can make it sound amazing or terrible, it could be synthesis it could be sound design or the tunning of your instruments, it can be amplification. Audio recording, media recording it all fits in that category. and the third element is mixing and mastering which is essentially level balancing, surround sound, or depth spacial design. Joss explains to us that whether you are a single person creating music or you are working with a group of people to create music, no matter what type of music you are listening too, essentially they all have these three elements in it.
